I have a leak in the joint between the 3/4" main shutoff valve for the house (not the valve before the meter) and the 3/4" CPVC above it. This is a copper to cpvc "screw" joint with a rubber gasket. i've replaced the gasket but it hasn't helped. I haven't seen any noticable problems with rest of the pipe. any suggestions?

Cool

Cut off the water at the Main and wrap 2-3 flat wraps of teflon tape around the male threads CLOCKWISE ONLY, and tighten it back together. Should seal it.
Good Luck!
