Unhappy

Water is backed up in tub and shower, 1 toilet overflows the other leaks at base (replaced wax ring 3 days ago). Used 50 foot snake at cleanout and commercial drain opener liquid. Snake stopped about 10 feet from 2nd bathroom. Find water leaking outside of house slab at washing machine wall and bathroom wall! Major sewer line blockage outside of house? or slab leak? What do you think?

Cool

To determine if you have a water supply line leak, turn everything OFF in the house except the main cutoff. Look on the public water meter for a small dial or triangle.
If the triangle is moving at all, you have a water supply line leak. (It spins very rapidly when water is normally running through a faucet.) It should be at a dead stop, if no leak and with everything off.
To determine if you have a drain line leak, you usually can tell that simply by the odor of the water, especially as you dig up the area.
If you have an old terra cotta or cast iron underground drain line, it could be collapsed, causing a blockage, or it could be clogged with a rootball.
Good Luck!
