Toilet water level

Hi. I have a problem with the water level in the toilet bowl being too low. It worked fine for the first 2 years after installation, but now it is amiss. I tried raising the level in the tank, but that just caused the toilet to run, so I lowered it again. The tank has the old water bulb float, if that matters. Any ideas how to fix this problem, or what may be causing it?

Thanks!

I should also add that air 'burps' out of the bowl when it is flushed.

Cool

Sounds like you may have a partial clog in the vent pipe on the roof above that bathroom.
Clear out any leaves, debris, birdnest, etc. that you can reach and flush it with a water hose sprayer.
If it is badly clogged, you may have to snake it from top to bottom.
Good Luck!
