how far up an expansion pipe can i tee in my hot supply for apowershower as it would be easier running the supply in the loft

The farther up the expansion pipe you put the tee, the less effective the expansion pipe will be. If this expansion pipe is on a hand controlled valve, like a shower valve, sink, etc., it is pretty much unnecessary. But, if it is on an electrically controlled valve, like a washing machine, it is a good thing to have the expansion pipe. So, if you are tapping into a hand controlled valve, tee in at the top. If you are tapping into an electrically controlled valve, put the tee at the bottom.
