In remodelling our kitchen, we are adding a second sink and a dishwasher in a new location. Water supply and the drain are no problem, but venting is a challenge. I have a vertical 2" vent from an adjoining bathroom which extends through the second floor to the attic and joins the main stack. I can attach to it 8" above the flood rim of the sink but.... It is 9 linear feet, 4', a 90 degree turn then 5' from the sink and I have to go around the back of a shower stall. Without major work, my vent pipe size needs to be smaller than 2" pipe. Will 1" or 1 1/2" work?

Cool

Check with your Building Inpsection Department for local code.
You may be able to do a loop vent or an auto-vent instead.
Good luck!
