Question

Help! I disconnected an old shower in the bathroom upstairs which was still plumbed into the water system. I put stop ends on both pipes. When I turned the water back on I only have a dribble of cold water in the bath and none in the sink or toilet. It works fine downstairs. The hot water is working thoughtout the house! Please can you give me any simple advice on what I should "try" to do now?

Cool

Do you have old galvanized pipes?
If so, you probably dislodged scale, which builds up inside of them, while disconnecting the old shower pipes, that may be clogging:
a) the cold water cut-off or faucet in the sink,
b) the cold water cut-off or water inlet valve of the toilet, and
c) the tub/shower diverter or cold water faucet of the tub.
Good Luck!
