Question

I live in a reverse 1.5 story house. I was on the main floor in the master bathroom. There are two sinks in there. I usually keep the drains closed. I heard a rattling and went to investigage. Low and behold, the stoppers were rattling on both sinks. What gives? Can someone tell me why it would do this?

I thought I had ghosts in my plumbing. hahaha

Thanks in advance.

Cool

Water must have been draining through the drain system somewhere, and there is a partial clog in the vent pipe above that bathroom, which caused a partial re-venting through the trap(s) of the double sink.
Check the vent pipe on the roof above that bath. Clear out any debris, and flush it with a water hose sprayer.
If that doesn't do, call GhostBusters.
Good Luck! Mike

Any chance it was a windy day. Wind over the top of the vent pipes on the roof causes pressure fluctuations in the drain pipes.
