We have copper pipes. When the faucets turn on I get a humming sound in the pipes. We drained the pipes and it goes away for a very short time. By the next day the humming is back. What causes this and how can I get rid of it?

High water pressure can cause this, is there a pressure reducing valve on the water service, if so it could be bad, if not then install one.
