I've tried several of the tips from the pros on this site to try and solve a urine odor in my upstairs toilet. I've replaced the wax seal, checked the vent, poured some bleach down the overflow pipe, but nothing has worked! The house is 16 yrs old and the toilet has never been replaced but there was a caulk seal around the base of the toilet that I broke when I replaced the wax seal. Could an odor be coming from there? Other bathroom toilets are fine, no odor.

Cool

The only thing that I can figure on this one is that there was an old seep leak (from a leaking wax seal at one time) under the toilet that saturated the wood flooring under it.
About the only way to kill urine odor is bleach that I know of. Good Luck!
