Toilet Tank Won't Fill Up
#1
My toilet tank has slowly gone from filling fully to not filling at all and therefore the toilet won't flush unless I fill the tank from a bucket. I have a "floater-cup" type system already in place but I'm wondering if it needs an adjustment of some kind (if this is even possible) or do I need to replace the whole floater-cup device? If I do need to replace it, is that a fairly easy do-it-yourself project for someone with no experience?
Thanks!

Yes, you can adjust the water level in the tank with a float-cup type inlet valve assembly by pinching the clip beside the cup and sliding it up (to raise the tank water level) or down the little rod (to lower it).
You can try that, but you probably need to replace it, if it isn't running at all.
Get a Fluidmaster 400A (about $7-$8 bucks), and just follow the installation directions that come with it.
Easy.
And you do not have to be an experienced plumber or D-I-Yer to do it. If you need any help, just come back and ask.
Good luck!
