Question

I'm looking for a system I've seen at a friend's house that is placed at the farthest faucet from the hot water heater that pulls hot water from the hot water heater. This essentially pre-heats the water, making it so that you don't have to run a shower/tub for 5 minutes to get hot water.

The cold water coming from the hot water pipe is pumped back into the cold water supply and is pushed into the hot water heater, replacing the hot water being pulled.

I remember a product called the Chili Pepper Appliance that did this, but can't find anything about it on the Internet anymore. Does anyone have an idea on where I might be able to find a system like this?

Thanks,
Tim Anderson

Cool

Go to http://www.lainginc.com and click on Autocirc water heating pump.
They appear to be fairly easy to install under a bathroom sink.
Good Luck!
