Toilet seat

My toilet seats keep sliding one side when anyone sits on them. I've tightend them up but it doesn't seem to help. I think the toilet isn't level, but I don't want to rip it out and start over. What can I do?

Cool

If the toilet seat is tightly bolted down, and it still slides to the side, about the only way to correct it is to reset the toilet level.
You might try shimming under the toilet seat bolt on the side that it slides towards first just to level the seat itself.
Good luck!

Are the bolts holding the seat to the bowl plastic? They might be flexing. Try replacing with brass.

Toilet seats cost $12 to $16, just buy new ones and install them, problem solved, the bolts don't really need to be brass, plastic ones work great.
