Sink Faucet - No Water

Sink Faucet - No Water
Ok, here's what happened... I bought a washerless faucet to replace our aging bathroom sink faucet. I install the new one and find the hook-up lines are too short so I make a quick run and come back with flexible lines.
They're a little long so I hook up just the cold to make sure they aren't going to crimp.. undo the shutoff and turn on the cold.... NO WATER?!
OK.. so they must be crimping. I'll just put the old faucet back and do this over the weekend. So I get the old faucet and lines hooked up and... NO WATER!?!
UH OH.. What the heck did I do and how do I fix it?
The ONLY thing I can come up with is the shutoff washer is stuck and blocking the line.
Any tips are very appreciated.

That is a possibility (washer plugging cutoff valve).
With the flex lines on the cutoff valves, open them up one at a time into a bucket to see if you're getting water out of either of them.
If not, take them apart to check the washers.
Do you have galvanized pipes?
