Air in toilet tank

When toilet is flushed, large air bubbles rise in the tank and flushing is slowed. Bowl flushes OK if bucket of water is poured in bowl. Blockage?

This is normal in some brands of toilet, since air is with in the passage ways between the tank and bowl, when flushed, and there is no way for the air to get removed before the water enter the bowl, then it finds its way infront of the moving water, this creates the air bubble.

Air in toilet tank

This problem is a new one. It never occured until yesterday. My wife thinks she might have stirred up some crud in the tank while putting in a cleaner device. Could this be the culprit?

Use a coat hanger and clean out all the holes in the flush ring and in the blow hole, see if that helps.
