Question moving basement drain

I want to move my washing maching next to the dryer in another part of the basement. What is the easiest or best way to relocate a basement drain. As far as I can tell, the nearest drain is an old toilet drain approximately 6 feet away. Is this more than a novice should attempt?

Cut in a wye on the drain, keep the grade at 1/4" per foot and revent the new laundry location, make the laundry drain 2", if you know anything about dwv (drain waste and vent) systems, you should be able to do this.

Thanks One more question, tho. The vent system is on the other side of the house, will I need to seperately vent this? The house is 20' wide.

Cool

Yes, you will need a separate vent. All fixture drains have to vented after the trap.

Good luck!
