ABS and PVC connection

I am using black ABS for my dwv system and need to attatch a tailpiece to a PVC shower drain. Is there any problems with this? Can I use standard abs cement or do I need to use an all purpose cement which works for both PVC and ABS?

Check with your local plumbing code, most areas will not allow all purpose cement, where I live there is a transition glue that we can use, but only on one joint and only on the outside of the foundation. Use a rubber fernco to make this transition.
