plumbing

We recently bought a rambler house with a basment. The main washer and dryer is located in the basement. However the people before us rerouted the water pipes and gas line to one of the extra bedrooms on the main floor. I want to cut the rerouted pipes and gas line from the bedroom. I'm not an expert in cutting copper pipes and resoldering. Is there a way I can cut the pipes and use a cap to block it off versus resoldering. Thanks

Steve

For the copper you could use something like this with a cap on the end of it the perfered way is to cut and solder caps on the pipes.

As for the gas line, please get a pro to do this, gas can be dangerous.
