I need help

I need to now how to repair the pipes going into my hot water tank

What type of pipe is there now and where is it leaking at?

it is plastic and it was leeking at the top where it went into the tank my ex put it in and then he said I have to fix it and gave me 2 little pieces to fix it but didn't say how

Ok on the top of there here are the two nipples like these there 3/4" now do you know what type of plastic pipe you have at the heater? It is either PVC or CPVC, you will need to get two of these from your Home Depot thses are water heater flex connects, they tighten onto the nipples, now the other end needs to tighten onto male adaptors like these. get the type of male ends needed if you don't see any other male threads from where it connects to the heater and where the pipes enter the wall. Don't forget the glue if you have to install the male adaptors.
