Hot Water Heater trips breaker

I have a 7 year old electric hot water heater that recently started tripping the reset button on the thermostatt. I replaced both the upper and lower thermostatts and the lower heating element. It worked great for 24 hours. Now it is tripping the breaker. What could be causing this? There was quite a bit of lime in the bottom when I replaced the lower heating element, but a bunch was removed at that time. I have spent a bunch of cash already on this unit, and am hesitant to do much more to it. Am I better off just replacing it at this time, or does it appear to be something simple that could be causing the breaker to trip?

Cool

It could be that the breaker is going bad or there could be a loose wiring connection in the heater.
Turn off the breaker anad check all of the connections on the heater.
If they're o.k., cut the main breaker, check the connections on the breaker and test the breaker.
Good Luck!
Mike
