Question rerouting plumbing

Wer'e in the middle of a "easy project" by knocking out our kitchen wall to extend it into the family room. We first took out a section of the sheetrock to see if we would have any obstacles. We didn't see any, except when we took all of the sheetrock out and noticed that the plumbing for the upstairs bathroom was routed right in the middle of the wall about 1 foot from the cieling. Is it at all possible to rerout the plumbing? We need it do be moved over about 2 feet so we can continue are "not so easy" project. Kim

Unless you are familiar with plumbing you should get a plumber to do it for you. If it was only a vent it wouldn't be too much too handle, but when rerouting drain lines you need to route it in a way that it wiull drain properly and using excessive fittings will only lead to drainage [problems later on when all the walls are closed up.
