Bathroom Fan to connection to Vent pipe

Bathroom Fan to connection to Vent pipe
I am in the process of finishing my basement. I had the plumbing rough-in during construction. I forgot to mention to the contractor to leave me a connector, so I could connect the bathroom fan to the outside.
My question is can I connect the bathroom fan to the vent pipe that runs by the wall. This will reduce my work in cutting a hole and installing a pipe in a very tight spot.
Another question that I have has to do with the sewer gases, will they come out of the bathroom fan pipe?
Thanks

The short answer is "no", you can't tie the bath fan outlet to any other vent. What is this existing vent pipe and what is it used for?

Yes, outside it should go.
As lefty said, you cannot tie-in a bathroom exhaust vent to any other vent, especially your drain/waste/vent system.
You can route it through a wall or the roof as a separate vent.
Remember, the main thing that you're venting from a bathroom is a lot of very moist air that you do not want inside.
Good Luck!
