drain connection
I need good info on how to make conection of plastic pipe to the cast iron of the original main drain from my old house. I want to replace all the drains with plastic. Please reply, thanx....

If you are removing the old cast iron, keep about the last foot of the old branch line in place. You can then use Fernco's to attach whatever you want to the cast iron.
A fernco is nothing more than a piece of rubber tubing, of all different diameter sizes, that uses hose clamps as the tightening mechanism it "lock" it in place. You can buy these with metal banding that provide more support if you think the drain system needs it.
Have fun with out with the old and in with the new...
