Question Bathroom faucet won't stop running!

My bathroom faucet won't shut off. It gave me no warning! Water was literally pooring out, not just dripping. I had to shut the water off from under the sink. What shall I do?

Cool

What type of faucet is it? Brand? Single-handle? Dual-Handle?

I believe it's a Monet. It's a duel handle.

Cool

Not familiar with a Monet facuet, but if it's dual handle, it is most likely a compression faucet with rubber washers on the ends of the hot and cold stems.
If it is cold water rushing out when the cut-off valves are open, remove the handle and the retaining cap that the stem (spindle)fits through, and replace the washer on the end of the cold water stem. If it's hot water, do the same on that side.
It sounds like one of the washers is just gone completely. Here's what a similar one looks like:

Good Luck!
Mike
