Painting an old tub and sink

Has anyone ever painted a tub or sink, for that matter? We were thinking of using a product called "tough as tile" specifically for this purpose. Just wondering if anyone has done this. We are looking for advice on how to do and what was the outcome? Our tub is pocked and stained with rust from the water. Also, does one box really do one tub, and how long did it take to dry really good? The box says 5 days, but I am thinking in our humid weather it could take much longer. Thanks!

The stuff is crap, don't waste your time. I have never seen the color match, ever.

If you are serious about restoring the finish you will need to have the entire tub, sink re-enameled. Look in the phone book for tub restoration. Here in Seattle a tub cost about 300 bucks 150 for a sink. They relay a uniform coating on the entire surface and it looks great. that is the way to go.
