copper pipes and PVC

I am redoing my sprinklers and the original is copper pipe. Is there some kind of fitting or coupling that I can connect copper to PVC as the rest of the sprinklers I obviously wish to use PVC.
Thks

You will need a "transition fitting" of some kind. You could use a double ended compression fitting called a dressler coupling. You could also connect the pipes at a threaded joint that has iorn pipe gauge threads. IPT fittings are availible in both materials. just screw them together with some teflon tape, but don't overtighten and strip the plastic threads.

I don't know about PVC to copper but there is a CPVC to copper direct coupler available at many plumbing supply companies. I'll look at Homey Depot to see if they carry this item, I ever have looked there.

Have fun with you job..

Cool

There also is a PVC to copper connector, or you can sweat a threaded copper fitting on, and screw a PVC threaded fitting on (teflon tape).
Good luck!

Homey Depot has the CPVC to copper unions. Didn't see anything for PVC other than adapters which you would match up with copper.
