Algea eating fish for large farm pond?

Algea eating fish for large farm pond?

Just wanted to know if thier is a fish that will actually control algea build up?
What about grass carp?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Nope. You did not say what type of algae you want to control but the answer is still basically... nope.

Grass carp (white amur) don't even like smaller floating plants like duckweed, watermeal or water fern. The small fry of many fishes will eat panktonic (tiny) algae but they cannot eat enough to make a difference in most cases.

At the end of it all there will be a bunch of cockroaches wondering how to get rid of the algae.
