Pond decor - Sliding Rocks

I have a pond in my yard and it has a small section between two bigger ponds. I have pots and some flowers coming up in there, but my rocks always fall into the pond exposing the liner. Does anyone have any suggestions? The liner along that edge is a steep drop and the pond is too small to put a shelf in to build on. Is there something other then rocks I can use? Maybe I should post pictures. I have been going through the rock readjustment for 4 years now. Ugh!

I built a 'burm' around my pond by using the stored dirt I saved from the pond I dug. After I laid weed cloth and liner, (made sure the liner over lapped by a foot) I then put the burm over the over lapped liner...I pound the 'burm' with a 'pounder'. I then laid brick and covered the brick with dirt/plants...

I will post pictures on "Did It Myself"
