What size head for small water feature

Can someone please advise . I have a small water feature thatís 2 parts. Bottom maybe 50l and the top part is maybe 30cm high. I want to pump water from the base about 5m away up a gradual less then 1/2 meter elevation and trickle out the top and water will run down a small stream back to the base. What pump size /head would I need ? Was thinking a 1000-2000l per hour pump

First, consider where the water will go when the pump is not running. All the water in the upper vessel and stream will drain down into the lower basin. You need to make sure there is enough room to hold the water.

If you look online for "weir calculator". The calculator will allow you to enter the width and depth of the water stream and will give you a rough idea of how much water flow/volume.
