Question concrete resurfacing for in ground vinyl liner pool

I recently used 700 pounds of sand mix concrete with additive glue to repair walls of an inground liner pool with concrete base and concrete hopper as instructed by a pool company.

ecently as I have inquired about a vinyl liner the man said the concrete needed to be smoothe and was too rough with the type of sand mix I had used. What product can I use to reface the sandmix that will leave me with a smoothe surface, like a plaster type mix.
Any advice would be nice as I am at my wits end with the pool people giving me wrong info. thank you

Make a small screen box and put the mix through it first then use this mix for the pool ED
