Question wood heat for pools/spas

I have an unlimited supply of firewood and would like to build a small indoor lap pool and spa (separate from each other) using wood to heat the water. Has anyone had experience with this?

Growing up in northern Ohio my father built a wood fired heater for our above ground pool. He used a barrel and ran a bunch of tubing around in the top half making a crude heat exchanger. I could feel the warm water coming out of the discharge, but I don't really recall the water in the pool ever getting warm. It takes a massive amount of btu's to heat 10'000 gallons of water.

I would look at the wood fired boilers for home heating. You can probably buy exactly what you need and it would be pretty efficient.
