Defoaming water in hot tub
Can anyone suggest a good technique (or agent) to defoam water in an outdoor hot tub?

There are products specifically for that; check with a pool & spa store. Not sure if it would work, but stores that rent steam cleaners for carpets have an additive to cut down foam in the recovery tank. My guess is that it would have a similar chemical makeup, but not sure if it would be suitable in a hot tub.

besides foam down products, there are reasons foam appears, generally the water is old and has a build-up up un wanted by products a lot comming from bathing suits, [ soap residue ] better to use spa / hot tub with out , however we all know this cannot always work, so how about changing the water , were only talking about 300 gal, thats 6 bath tubs , should be drained / refilled quarterly. and forget those scents you add to the water, if you want scents get candles or ?
