Question sloping land pool installation

I am faced with an eighteen inch difference between the two sides of an above ground pool. Our home is on the side of a mountain, and this is as good as it gets. Do I have to dig out the eighteen foot circle into the side of the hill, or can I shim/support the low side with dirt, timbers, etc. I have already dug out eight inches on the high side, leaving approximately 12 inches on the low side. HELP!!!!!!!!!

I would not shim or use fill to support a pool anywhere especially on a hillside. An 18’ Circle pool 4’ Deep has around 7600 gallons Just the water weighs over 63,000 Pounds, not to mention steel, gunite, plumbing, plaster, coping, tile and bather load…
