Quality Pool Heaters

Does anyone have recommendations for quality pool heater manufacturers (gas or electric)? I know there's Laars, Raypak, and Hayward.

Any experiences--good or bad--is appreciated!

Thanks!

Oh, then what...

...are some top solar heater manufacturers that you've had experience with that you'd recommend?

Thanks.

Lot of them on line . Cant think of any names. They do sell DIY kits.I like the ones that the grid go up and down on the roof the best. Have had solar now on4 pools and its the only way Id go.

like Ed , solar is free once its paid for, however the down side is during the times of no sun , as in after the sun goes down , overcast , or rainy days,
so a heater in addition to solar is nice and absolutely necessary if you have a spa and wish to use it in the evenings.

recommend,

sta - rite maxi -therm heater 84 % efficiency cost less than raypak or laars
and in my opinion a much better heater .
