No permit for pool

I am looking to buy a house in San jose California but the pool does not have a signed permit. The permit was paid for and the planning office signed it but there where no inspections. The pool is 23 years old. How much would it cost to gett the pool permited?

Thanks,

thats an issue you will have to take up with the building department, seems like the selling realtor and home owner need to reimburse you for any $ needed to bring the pool to code and have it signed off.

Most permits are based on value, but each city has there own fee schedule. $ 1000.00 to 1500.00 average.

I'm glad I live in Ohio - the permit to build our pool cost me $60.
