pool motor

i need to replace my pool motor it has stop working. my prob. is i have never done it and there are 4 bolts the top 2 come off the bottom 2 bolts rusted and 1 has broken off and ideas on how i can get this off thanks.

you didn't state the brand of pump , age , and horsepower , this would help as many times its far better to replace the complete pump instead of just the motor, for instance if you have an old bronze open faced impeller pump, or depending on the performance curve of the pump you have , you can usually go down 1/2 to 1 horsepower while still pumping the same amount of water and get one with an energy efficient motor.

a bargain in the long long .

3/4 hp centurion 3450 rpm 230/120volt a=6.0/12 and its 60hz i dont know how to tell the gpm on how much it will pump
