Draining a Hot Tub

I just bought a house that has a hot tub that's really not in the greatest condition. I would like to remove it but I know nothing about hot tubs.
First what's the best way to drain it, is there a drain plug somewhere?
Also do I need an electrician to handle the wiring?

Thanks

Is the tub in a wood deck, freestanding, etc?

Many tubs have drains. If you can answer the question above I will try to help you locate the drain.

It's always the safest idea to have an electrician to wire and un-wire hot tubs. Remember many hot tubs are wired at 220v...

The words hot tubs and spas are generally both used to describe both jetted bath tubs and portable/in-ground relaxation tubs.

Draining Hot Tub

You need a electrician to unwire & There should be a drain in plumbing around Pump. If not you will have to cut pipes or suck out with wet dry vac.
