what to use under pool liner

I am installing an above ground pool and i was told to use peat moss instead of sand because it does not wear out the liner as much, but the instructions says not to use peat moss, what should i do

You should only use sand! Don't use peat moss.

The only other things that are safe to use under a liner are sold by a company called Gladon.

I agree...ONLY use Masons sand. It is screened meticulously and has no foreign matter to come thru liner. Also, make sure to put down a good strong application or 2 of weed/grass killer.
Make sure you do the cove carefully and keep it consistent or the automatic cleaners will not work well and get stuck.

Many inground vinyl liner pools use SAND for their base (or concrete, or vermiculite in case you're wondering)

Just make sure there's no sharp objects (rocks, sticks, etc) pokin up .... (course, it prolly says that in the directions)
