tree roots VS above ground pool

I have 1 gum ball tree about 30' from pool & another one about 20 ' from pool. About 25' is a silverleaf. The trees are about 40-50 years old and there are a few roots in the area of where the pool would go. My question is what if any hurdles do I face due to this situation? I have no other placement for the pool and would like to make sure it is placed properly. Any help on this????

Are any of the roots coming through the ground? The main thing that you don't want to happen is have roots grow through the liner.

I'd try to dig down and get the roots that are highest to the ground removed. The tree will follow this by limiting growth in a vertical direction from cut roots, which is good since you don't want leaves/limbs getting in pool.
