Heating pool with attic heat

I'm researching solar pool heating options and came across a company, SolarAttic, that uses a heat exchanger in the attic rather than collector panels on the roof.
This seems to make alot of sense, but if it's such a good idea, why haven't other companies gotten into it?
Does anyone know anything about the company or the technology?

I would think heating water in your attic it is not very efficient. Having your water heater in the attic might not be a bad idea since it has to be somewhere so you might as well put it somewhere that is hot; but if you are going to pump water up and out of your pool to collect heat from the sun I would get closer to the source. The shingles, underlayment and huge airspace of your roof/attic are not designed to efficiently capture solar energy/heating.

Another thing to think about is lets say you have a 20,000 gallon pool, and your at work and your solar springs a leak. With normal pool solar the water leaks off your roof. What happens with when the leak in your attic solar? Your swimming pool is in your living room.
The btu transfer that attic solar claim is impressive but pool plumbing in a attic is just to big of a liability for me.
