How many gaskets are used on a pool skimmer?

I just put on a new skimmer before I closed my pool last year, it's an aboveground. The water was above the skimmer before I closed it, now it's down even with the bottom of the skimmer. I put a gasket on the outside of the liner, one on the inside of the liner, and one on the outsideside of the pool wall, is this right? It must be leaking on the inside, there is no water on the outside of the pool wall. Should I have put some kind of sealer on the gaskets before installing them?

are all the screws tight? it may be possible that you have had some evaporization, during the shutdown. i do belive that you have it installed correctly, but i can't remember because i haven't installed a skimmer in several years, i just follow the directions. if the screws are tight i might consider using a SILICONE( not caulk) sealer around the perimeter of the back side of the skimmer plate .
