Want to remove above ground pool, but no pump!
Help! We want so much to remove our above ground pool. We shouldn't have bought a house with a pool in the first place! Anyway, we have no pump. Is there any other way to remove the water? Or will I be forced to get a pump? I think if we can figure out how to drain the thing, we can dismantle without too much trouble.
PS We know NOTHING about swimming pools.
Thanks!

Stick a hose in it, run the other end to wherever you can drain it to (as low a point as possible) and start a syphon. Leave it alone and it should be pretty empty in a couple of days.

may sound foolish but if you are sending the pool structure to the scrap yard or the dump after dismantling it, just drill several small holes near the bottom and let it frain into the yard over the next weeks or so......you could use an AXE or just hook a chain to the bumber of the car for faster results, all this being its not really close to the house and you dont have a basement
