Pool coping?

I have a fiberglass pool with aprox 3" wide top fiberglass lip and a concrete collar poured around that. I have 1-1/2" thick concrete coping stones that will cantaliver over the top edge of the pool. What is best to use as a bonding material when applying concrete coping stones around the top of the shell and collar. What will bond the concrete coping stones best to the fiberglass?
Is there a special type of mortor or an additive?

A inground gunite pool has a bond beam of at least 12 so you have a nice wide area to set the coping, also a gunite pool does not flex, expand or contract any where near as much as a fiberglass pool. Every fiberglass pool that I have ever seen has a cantilever deck all the way around. To set coping on something that moves that is only 3" wide would be quite a task.
