Pool pump slow leak - HELP!!! PLEASE!

Looks like my pump has a slow dripping (tiny spray when on) leak where motor intersects with pump. Do these go "out" slowly, or fast? MIGHT it work OK for a few days, or is this something I should deal with right away? I know we can't be certain, but some of you might have a lot of experience and be able to advise me. It's about 6 years old. I'd like to wait 'til after the 4th, but.... THANKS! Have a good holiday.

Sounds like a seal, it is easy to replace. It should be ok for a while, will gradually get worse.

THANKS! If you know of any Schemo/diagrams on the web, let me know. Once it's unbolted from "platform" I'll have an easier time with it (I guess!)
WAIT!!!!! FOUND parts info and diagram at http://www.poolcenter.com/parts_pumps_starite_jwpa.htm

Probably a good time to replace all the seals at the same time while you're in there and not just the one that's leaking.
