i have a spa with a base made of cedar it looks like, the problem is the wood is rotting. where can i get the wood and what kind of wood do i need. i need to replace the whole base or most of it anyway ? is it hard to do yourself ?..........thanks

Cedar and teak are the main woods used in wooden spas, I would do a search for "wooden hot tub replacement wood" and go from there. It is a task to replace, but if you're handy and patient it can be done. The bands that hold tub together will have to be loosened so make sure this is possible before spending money on wood.
You can also get a vinyl liner for the tub but the bottom will still have to be fixed but you could use pressure treated from lowes. And all your jets would have to be removed and replaced, but can be done.
