Automatic cleaner question

I had an inground pool installed this summer. I have a 1.5hp Pentair pump. I want to use an automatic cleaner but have concerns if the pump is enough to operate it effectively. Should I get a booster pump, or are there auto cleaners out there that will operate effectively with a 1.5 hp pump? (there is a seperate port for an auto cleaner installed but is plumbed in line with the other two return ports) I have borrowed a Pentair auto cleaner using current configuration. Its seems to get "stuck" in corners a lot. Is this a result of not enough pump pressure (guage on filter says 20lbs) or not a quality cleaner?

I have always been partial to the cleaners with booster pumps, they do a great job. The question you're asking is difficult to answer, the cleaner could be getting stuck because of adjustments. Your pump should be able to run a cleaner, you might have to plug a return line though. Best thing is to look at your options and decide what is best with your price range.
