Chlorine generator installation

Hello,
I just purchase a chlorine generating system (AquaRite) and will be doing the installation myself. Note: I'm converting from a standard chlorine pool.
My question is that the existing return lines after the pool equipment (Pump, filter & heater) does not allow me to have the cell & flow switch the minimum required distance (12") of straight line plumbing. Also, I am concerned over the effects the heater may have on the system.
I was thinking of installing a "loop" off the heater to ensure adequate clearances. Has anyone does this install before? Any suggestions on installing a "loop"
Thanks
JD

There has been many that have had to plumb in a loop due to not enough straight pipe to install.
