Wink storing chlorine tabs in container outdoors

i have been storing my bucket of 3" chlorine tabs in the shed in the sealed bucket but am considering moving them outside in the shade - to have easier access. also am thinking about doing the same with my DE and putting it in a airtight bin (like a rubbermaid container) also outside. are there any issues regaring this. Also generally how long can the chloring tabs be used for? i have used them as long as 2 seasons and i am not sure if i shoudl be using them any longer. Also, if they shoud not be used anymore, how shold they be properly disposed of?

Keep tabs dry and out of the sun, always open lid with caution as fumes can kill. Use them up, might be a little less strong but usable. DE is fine as long as it is kept dry.
