Hayward H250

Hi to everybody, rookie question what does the 5F message on my heater represent & how do i go about fixing my problem. The owners manual isnt clear.... please help Thanks Brent

The trouble code is likely an SF, not 5F. Regardless....

SF indicates a thermistor failure. The thermistor is the part that goes from the thermostat (or control board) to the heat exchanger that senses the actual water temperature.
