I have a vinyl-lined inground pool with a Jacuzzi skimmer. I've just repaired the line that runs from the bottom of the skimmer to the pump/filter but there is a second pipe running from the bottom of the skimmer and this appears to be leaking also (although nowhere near as badly). I'm at a loss to figure out where this second pipe runs to and can only think that it might be running to the now-disused and blocked bottom drain. Is this the likely route for this second pipe? If this is the case, could I simply seal off this pipe at the skimmer and solve my problem leak? Thanks

 

Yes, more than likely it goes to the main drain. It was popular to plumb a pool this way. If there is not a line coming from pool for main drain then it is in bottom of skimmer. If not using main drain you can put a plug in the line.
