So far, we've had two salesmen out. One does liners (Pacific Pools brand, composit walls) and the other does gunite/plaster. Looking for any opinions here on the pros/cons of each based on personal experience.

The liner guy tried to scare us about cleaning the plaster and needing to resurface it more frequently then anticipated at a high cost. The gunite/plaster guy didn't really want to bad-mouth liners, but got his opinion across subtly that no matter what the wall material, it will fail (in addition to replacing liners more frequently than anticipated).

I have a couple years experience of working with pools and it has been my experience that a gunite/plaster pool is the best way to go. If you have any more specific questions you can e-mail me at justinb54@hotmail.com
